Episode 3 of Frosty Friday! We are talking Barleywine and Voodoo Ranger.
I am definitely a fan of the No Label 5th anniversary brew! Having a higher abv is amazing, but the taste is awesome! I like more sweeter after notes, but overall this was a stellar beer. I have been passing it up on the shelves for a few weeks now. I am glad I finally tried it.
As far as the Voodoo Ranger goes, I am a fan. I would say this is a summer brew that should be enjoyed after an afternoon of lawn work. Citrusy notes with a lighter finish.
The music? Well, in honor of Incubus launching "Nimble Bastard," I have compiled an ALL Incubus Spotify playlist. <Listen here>
We made it to episode 2!! I am "super excited" in the mellowest tone way ever. (I've noticed that my display of emotion is rather even)
On this live-isode we tasted Hop Seeker out of Deep Ellum brewery and Boss Raptor from Audacity. If I had to pick a winner, I would go with he Hop Seeker but only because of the fresh wet hops. The taste was a little bit cleaner than a traditional IPA, but that is only because they were working with seasonal and unprocessed hops. Sort of hard to win when you are up against all of that awesomeness.
Check out the Spotify playlist!
Stay tuned! Episode 3 won't be live, but it will be LIVE! Hahaha that's some retro slang for the youngsters reading along.
Episode 1: 13% of Greatness!
Last night was awesome! I have decided to start a Friday night Facebook Live show where we discuss craft beer and music.
As promised, here is the Frosty Friday episode 1 playlist! Every episode will have a Spotify playlist associated with it. This one was rap heavy, but this trend will definitely not be every episode.

We sampled Prairie "Bomb!" and Querkus' Smoked Oaked Porter. First of all, I LOVED the Prairie brew. It was sweet and was smoooooth. Bomb was very flavorful and came in at a whopping 13% abv. When it comes to the Querkus, this bud was not for me. Not that it wasn't good, but I just wasn't a fan of this one.
I encourage you to form your own opinions, however, not a fan.

This is so much fun!
This is the second episode that I have been featured on. Jeff and myself discuss John Mayer's breakout album "Room For Squares."
When it comes to this album, I am a fan but there were songs that just don't do it for me. I can definitely pick and choose between the tracks. Don't be mad at me!
