This week we ventured to NY! Well not really physically, but mentally.
Ommegang did it again! This is an amazing brew that finishes strong. It is a 9.7 percent brew that sits lighter than it's coloring. Pretty amazing spring brew to drink and it is packed with flavor!
We made it to episode 6!!!
On this episode we talked about Noble Rey's Steampunk and then things got reaaaaal sour when we tapped in to Odell's Zard-Alu.
The Noble Rey brew was amazing. Pretty light and refreshing, while packing a punch with the flavor. I am not sure why this brew ranks so low on Untapped, however, I am a fan. The other thing that is amazing about Noble Rey, is their packaging. There is some marketing/merchandising genius working for them. Next time you are in the store, check out how they setup the cans.
Next, we tried sour beer! I love sours as of late. I have always been a fan of sour gummy worms, so now having sour beer makes life just that much better. Odell put together a tasty sour. Zard was not too tart not he sour scale and it was awesome to the last drop. Golden in color, yet full bodied. The bottle did get a mind of it's own partway through the stream, but it was hilarious nonetheless.
This week was interesting, to say the least.
First of all, I am not friends with technology this week. I had an interview lined up and ready to go, but the recording was less than desirable, and it cut off towards the end. Just GREAT!
I also found out, mid broadcast, that FB Live was glitchy. It's ok though. We pushed through and still had fun!
Watch me battle the cork and lose...
Episode 3 of Frosty Friday! We are talking Barleywine and Voodoo Ranger.
I am definitely a fan of the No Label 5th anniversary brew! Having a higher abv is amazing, but the taste is awesome! I like more sweeter after notes, but overall this was a stellar beer. I have been passing it up on the shelves for a few weeks now. I am glad I finally tried it.
As far as the Voodoo Ranger goes, I am a fan. I would say this is a summer brew that should be enjoyed after an afternoon of lawn work. Citrusy notes with a lighter finish.
The music? Well, in honor of Incubus launching "Nimble Bastard," I have compiled an ALL Incubus Spotify playlist. <Listen here>
